Written with novice sewists in mind these patterns are full of helpful tips about purchasing suitable fabrics,  measuring to fit, cutting out a pattern and even some sewing guidelines.  The patterns include a Glossary of sewing terms and an Appendix to help with even more advice to assure your project is a success.

There are three patterns available at this time:

  • Straight Stole Pattern – A basic stole that hangs from a curved neck edge and widens gradually to the bottom edge.
  • Shaped Stole Pattern – This basic stole looks like the straight stole when worn but has a slight curve built in to accommodate the female form.   Directions are included for fitting properly.
  • Straight Stole with Miter and Chain – An elegant stole that is slight wider and stiffer that the basic stole.   It is especially handsome made up in handwoven or specialty fabrics.

The Shaped Stole will lay flat when worn.
